Before diving into the details, answer these essential questions:

Who is sailing with you? 

• Couples: Smaller, agile yachts (30–38 ft) with 1–2 cabins.
• Families with children: Catamarans or larger monohulls (40+ ft) with multiple cabins and plenty of space.
• Groups of friends: Catamarans or spacious yachts (45+ ft) with many cabins and bathrooms.

Which cruising area is right for you?

Choose your sailing destination and charter base according to your preferences and travel options.

How much sailing experience do you have?

• Beginners/Little experience: Yachts with furling mainsail and bow thruster make handling easier. You also have the option to book a professional skipper to accompany you on the trip.
• Experienced sailors: Yachts with classic mainsail and performance rigging for sporty sailing.

What budget is available?

• Season: The shoulder season (April, May, October) is usually cheaper than high season (July, August).
