An uncompromising cruising catamaran with extremely high living comfort. Despite its size, it is quite agile under sail.
The Orana 44 was completely rebuilt in 2021, 2 new Volvo Penta 50 hp saildrives, watermaker with 100l fresh water per hour, new electronics (depth gauge, GPS plotter, wind etc.), 2 new refrigerators, new genoa and mainsail, completely new running rigging , new anchor winch with 60m chain, new kitchen equipment, etc
In 2008, the French re-stocked the medium-sized segment with the Orana 44 (test in YACHT 18/2008). The big novelty at that time: the fixed and accessible bimini roof as sun protection over the guest cockpit and a useful platform for setting and taking down the mainsail. In the meantime, this feature has become the standard for cruising catamarans of almost any size.
The fixed roof not only provides shade, but is also ideal for additional use. For example with a flybridge as a raised helm station or as a sun lounger for sun-seekers. The two- or three-storey living and leisure concept is now also a trend for cruising catamarans
