The Balearic Islands have a subtropical marine climate. The sun shines from April to October and the air is always mild. The Wind often blows from south-west, from the south-west from Mallorca to Ibiza and Formentera. In Minorca the Mistral is strong and can be even stronger in spring and autumn. In the bigger bays around Palma or Alcudia there is always a nice breeze.
All the coasts are well equipped. You will find in Mallorca more than 80 mooring points (calas) and ports on a lengh of 200 sm. You can adapt your sailing turn according to the meteorological conditions. The region is of a fascinate variety: long white beaches which lay in front of a turkeese see between and Formentera. In the south-west from the coasts from Mallorca rise reefs from the deep blue water. You will find many hided bays to swim. The of Cabrera, protected site can be visited.
Our advice
The Balearic Island are ideal for families with children from May to September. For the more sportive crews, we suggest to choose spring or autumn.
Our base is located in the middle of the Balearic Island in the Real Club Nautico of Palma next to the old Gothic Cathedral. The airport is well connected from all the European airports. Only 15 minutes are required to reach the Yacht Club from the airport. There is a mini-market in the marina.
